I was told that my 1987 heritage softail custom was one that was recalled in 1987 for full purchace price due to excessive vbration.when i talked to the comapy REP. they told me that they where all returned and if you have one of theses you should not drive it.. well we do and we do drive it it gets 51 miles to the gallon and uses no oil but it has avibration that we cant hardly stand to drive it more than 75 or 100 miles it makes my hand and arms numb its awfull i have changed dampners hand grips new tires shocks the harley REP.could not tell me a fix other than not to drive it. is this something in the motor or trans ??? it is ridged mount..can someone help me with this sweet looking and sounding bike..
