Hi All,

I´m new to this group and seeking advice. After years of riding Japanese bikes I´ve finally decided to spend a bit more to get the bike I´ve always really wanted but couldn´t afford. Still, I cant afford a new Harley so I am looking at used. I found a 2007 road king at a local shop with 37K miles on it for $12k. I thought this was a good price and was ready to buy, then I did some research and learned about 5th gear noise and engine overheat problems. So here´s my question. What year should I consider. I can spend up to $11k-$12k, but I need a reliable ride, either a road king or heritage classic. I´m considering year models 2002 - 2008. I´d appreciate any info you can provide regarding years to avoid, and years to consider.
