My brother, who resides in Austin,Tx., just perchased a 2003 Goldwing approximately 4 mounths ago and has only less then 6000 miles on it. While having the bike serviced on 09 Sept. he was told that the frame was cracked. The break is located in the welds of the cross member between the foot pegs on the insides of the frame. While talking to a friend, I was told that another freind of ours developed a crack on his 2002 Golwing at the steering head weld after hitting a large pothole. Does anyone know if these are isolated incidents or an ongoing problem with the welds on the new Goldwing frames. If it is an on going problem, what does Honda plan to do about it? My brother has tried to contact Honda though his dealer but as of today hasn´t heard back from them.
