Hi,
I too had running problems with my 2000 Trophy 1200. Also noticeable was a lot of carbon fouling on the plugs. I switched to Nology coils, and the running was much better, alkthough the plugs still fouled up. Eventually I bit the bullet and had an engine tune where it was found the float chabers were well out of adjustment. I think someone had changed the carbs to run very rich in order to overcome the rough running. Bike now runs perfectly, although I have to actually use the choke now on cold mornings.
