Hi,

is there anyone how made more than 100,000 km on a Triumph
Trophy 1200? I´m having lots of trouble at milage 80,000 thru
108,000 km:
- Silencer broke, ok, ok.
- Clutch slipping, ok, ok.
- Oil cooler cracked: that is poor quality! Part has been modified
by Triumph
- Oil consumption: about 5 liter/1000 km: changed piston rings
and valve shaft seals, found out inlet valves are down
- searching for reason of strong vibrations, adjuseted valves,
carburetors, contershafts, nothing. Did it the hard way: ignore
it and wait until the reason appears a bit more clearly. It
happend this summer: could not accelerate any more. Yep, I had
this before at a Kawa Z 200: Clutch moving on gear shaft because
needle bearing is broken. In this case the cotter bushing (hope
this is the right translation to "Keilmuffe") which is in the
midle of the clutch case is also damaged. Orderd parts today.
580 Eur. :-(

Has anyone had the some trouble(s)? What will come next?

I must admit, she did hard work for me. Vancover-Alaska, Top-of-
the-world-highway, thounds of gravel miles, northcape, mediteranian,
lot of high speed and winter rides, but on the other side the
bike wase quite expensive and I expected some quality for it.
