Had the same exact issue on a 2002 600tt. last oil change showed excessive metal in oil .. Removed oil pan and rod caps found a spun bearing on left hand cyl. Have fun with that one .. It´s a bit@# but do it now. The bearings are 9 bucks .. the cost of a new crank will total the bike.
