I bought a 2000 Trophy 1200 in October 2003. Mileage at time of purchase was 13,500 mi. The machine ran rough, lost power and constantly stalled. Problem was one of the coils went bad and I found out this is common with this model. Seems that not all Triumph mechanics are aware of this, so if anyone experiences the same symptoms ask the mechanic to check the coils first. Am told once the coil is replaced it usually doesn´t go bad again. My machine runs superbly now and I have no regrets purchasing it.
