Hi people, this is all new to me but i´m desperate for some imformation on my recent acquired Trident. Could you beleive it,
I´ve only had it for a month and already dropped in the driveway trying to turn it around in a confined space.as you can imagine the r/h silencer(muffler) came of second best.Well- It tears me apart to look at my stuff up so Iv´e been trying to get a replacement for the ol´ girl. After paying an arm n leg for a genuine Trumpy silencer, it arrives in the mail only to be totally different from what I am replaceing. Now the next solution would be to replace the l/h side as well. NO! My Trumpy dealer swears that this reclacement part is correct for my bike. But the mounting bracket on my old muffler measures 430mm from the center of hole(on bracket)to the tip of the inlet end of muffler, where as the replacement measures 500mm. Hence it won´t fit! My dealer thinks the bike has been modified(even though he hasn´t seen it!)and can´t help me.
What do you think? If someone could measure their muffler and reassure me theirs is 430mm as mine I would appreciate it. Also some photos would be good and a part number would be excellent! I´m not sure what will happen from this page,so if you try to contact me through this site and I don´t respond - please use my email address regnsam91@iprimus.com.au
