I´ve had my 2000 Triumph Thunderbird Sport since I purchased it in 2001 with a little over a thousand miles on the odometer. I wish Triumph still made this machine. In the seven plus years that I´ve owned this motorcycle, it has been in the shop for repair ONCE, and wouldn´t have been there that time but that a mouse had wriggled himself into the air cleaner, doing minimal damage. It´s the only time the bike ever let me down. The engine is powerful, with lots of torque available at low rpms. The handling is more than acceptable, though not as laser precise as some of the asian sportbikes. This bike has phenomenal brakes, bringing it down from speed in a hurry, when needed. It´s a large enough bike for shorts burst of two-up riding, but not long touring. Also, it looks like a proper motorcycle, unlike most sportbikes. Kind of a modern \
