I bought this bike over the phone from a shop in Orlando. I went to pick it up from Tampa. It was a rainy day and I hadn´t ridden much in the last few years. I finished the deal having not even ridden the bike. Just the look and feel and sound of the bike fired up was enough to tell me to take it home. My father drove me to the shop and headed back after the deal was sealed. I headed off to Melbourne to pick up my girlfriend of the time and head to a rainy ´01 Bike Week. We had a blast and this 900cc had no problem in wind and rain carting around 2 adults. I was majorly impressed by the machine from day 1 and plan to keep this one fo a long long time. The triple left my friend in the exhaust fumes as I smoked him on his Night- hawk 750cc. His reply at the end of the ride..."All I could smell was the rich fuel in your trail..." A truly excellent bike and I am happy to announce that Triumph put there thinking caps back on and have re-released this bike for 2003! A great thing for the general public who didn´t get to see much of this limited pro- duction cycle. It is over 20hp stronger then the Thunderbird stock...A truly great one returning like the Phoenix from the firey flames! |
