Just picked my Thruxton up last week but unfortunately cannot get away for a decent ride untill next month. Anyway I have been told that the front suspension can be fixed with a gold valve system which can be exeey. Since then I have been advised by a friend who is very good with suspension work to look at fork oil capacity in conjunction with front spring preload. It will involve a bit of experimenting with oil capacity and spring preload settings but can with a bit of perseeverance work out cheaper and still get the same result as a $A700 gold valve job.The replacement of back shockies with the olins will certainly make a difference. I intend fitting a set of YSS shocks.
