I JUST FINISHED READING THE RATING ON THE 2005 THRUXTON AND IT WAS WORSE THAN THE 2004 EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME BIKE. THE FOLKS RATING IT EITHER DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MOTORCYCLES OR HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED BY THE "IF IT DOESN´T GET 160HP TO THE REAR WHEEL THEN IT´S NOT A REAL MOTORCYCLE" SYNDROME THAT IS PREACHED NOWADAYS. I HAVE BEEN RIDING OVER 45 YEARS AND HAVE RIDDEN AND/OR RACED EVERYTHING ON TWO WHEELS WITH A MOTOR. THE MAJORITY OF THESE SO CALLED MOTORCYCLIST CAN TURN A THROTTLE AND DO A 90 MILE A HOUR WHEELIE IN A STRAIGHT LINE BUT CAN´T MAKE A TURN AT SPEED OR EVEN THE BASIC MANUVERS. HAVING SAID THAT I HERE TO SAY THAT THE 05 THRUXTON I GOT LAST MONTH RANKS UP IN MY TOP 5 THAT I HAVE OWNED (37 OVER THE YEARS) AND WILL HAVE A HOME WITH MY OTHER 4 BIKES FOR A LONG TIME. IT´S MOTORCYCLING LIKE WHEN I WAS A YOUNGSTER AND 60HP WAS FANTASTIC. HATS OFF TO TRUIMPH FOR THE PRODUCTS THEY HAVE TURNED OUT THE LAST FEW YEARS. |
