I realize that gas prices are getting ready to go up soon, so its time to pull out the my old bonneville and clean out the Amals. Just needed a listing of parts distributors. I parked it about 15 years ago, and kick it around ever so often. I owned a couple Tridents before this little sweet heart, but the bonneville has always been the best handling bike of the lot. I live in the foothills of the North Carolina mountains where this bike performs at its best. I had thought of fixing her up and selling her, but I remember how sweet she rides. I know it needs rubber and more than likely a complete rebuild. She was still running fine when I covered her up in the garage, with the exception of fauling a plug on extended idling at stop lights. As long as I cleared her out with an occassional quick throttle burst it would not faul.
I´m pretty good with the wrenches, got an old Clymer manual, and work as a machinist/electrician for the last 25 years. Just point me to the best parts retailers and I´ll get going.
