I hope you put a 35 amp fuse back in your bonnie, a car battery is way over the top in ams some are 3 or 4 hundred amps thats why the fuse went. Have you got a amp metre on your headlamp or 3 warning lights, red green amber, if the red one stays on when the engine is running the generator is not charging Reg
