Hello,
Yes I did end up with a 2005 Sprint ST. I have done about 2000kms on it so far. I did not look at the Aprilia so I cannot give you a comparison with that bike. I can tell you that it is an improvement on the 955 ST. A wonderfully torquey engine. The bikes focus is more on the sports side of the equation. It handles a lot better and steers quicker with less effort required to change direction quickly. It carries a pillion with ease, a result of the improved geometry, suspension and bigger engine. Overall it is a much better package. A big down side is the Triumph pannier system. Do not waste your money. Its useless. Supposedly Triumph are fixing it, but nothing official is forthcoming. Givi and Hepco & Becker are yet to bring out hard luggage for this bike. Lack of rear hugger and tail guard means you end up with a lot of road grime on the pipe, shock and engine. So far no one is producing these as aftermarket items. I do love this bike. Once I get these things sorted I will have a fantastic machine as my everyday transport. Hope this helps. Brett
