I have owned a ´99 ST since December 2000 and I absolutely loved it. Equiped with the Triumph 3 box system and Sargent seat, it was my very reliable everyday transport, weekend toy and long distance mount. I put over 80,000kms on it in four and a half years. I was planning on keeping it for another year and then looking at the ´05. A stray dog brought those plans forward somewhat. A visit to my local dealer and within minutes I decided to put down my hard earned on a shiny new ´05 in Aluminium Silver. I´m awaiting delivery with eager anticipation. My first impressions of the new styling is thats is quite a striking and attention grabbing bike. It has aggressive looks but still retains a certain subtlety with clean lines. The more I look at the pics the more I like it. I have heard that the pannier and top box system has come in for a lot of critism and that they are being redesigned.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I have them on order, but if they are being revamped & improved I will wait.
