This first attempt at a new generation of Triumphs has lost the flickability - due to much more weight - of the Meriden examples but gained in performance and especially reliability. The finish is good and the bike is well built. I think the sports ambitions of this Sprint model are hard to fulfil because of its mass. This bike is more apt for two-up touring than for real fast roadwork, it needs some determination to engage fast bends and its weight which is - due to the frame structure - situated relatively high can work against you. Looks are arguable ; some like it and some think they were already outdated when the Sprint model was launched in the nineteen nineties. The standard seat can become uncomfortable on really long stretches.
