Sounds like your pipes are part of the problem, with different breathing for the engine.
I do some work on it, but nothing major. I´ve had the forks off for new seals, the wheels off for tires, the gauges apart for new lights, the switches off for the turn signals, and bled the clutch and brakes at the bleeder valve. I haven´t done the plugs yet, and the valves haven´t been done either. I run Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas all the time. Once in awhile I´ll run gas cleaner thru the system too. I´ve already mentioned that I run Mobile One synthetic oil too, which I change myself with the filter. The dealer here isn´t so hot. But I have talked to a couple of mechanics that say this bike is has a great reputation. Hope you can get your bike set up for better mileage. Yes, I get about 40mpg consistently. (and I drive fast)
Cheers
