i LOVE the 1995 Sprint i bought last year. one of the sweetest engines i´ve ever had in nearly 35 years of riding and racing. the motor has the perfect combination of mid-range and top-end power, and it is very satisfying on the street. not as fast as the latest sportbikes but infinitely more comfortable and accessible for everyday riding. likes: 1) fantastic motor; rich in torque and "character" 2) all-day comfort (unlike modern sportbikes) 3) bullet proof motor 4) panache (won´t find one on every street corner) 5) easy to work on dislikes: 1) suspension is a bit crude compared to modern bikes (but is upgradeable) 2) brakes also not quite up to modern standards, but can be easily improved 3) parts somewhat scarce, now that triumph has developed the engine into a more modern fuel injection 4) lots of loose wires behind the dash can be an eyesore ownership has been a very engaging experience. it is not a perfect bike, but it can be made nearly so through carefully selected mods. it is easily transformed into top-notch scoot tailored to your tastes and riding style. |
