Consumption is around 43 -39 mpg the lower figure if one travels at high revs (don´t ask me why). I don´t think the Speed Four is a cruiser. I mean it is happyish at 55 in top but happier accelerating hard at 55 in 2nd or braking hard to 55 whilst carving through a corner or two! Tank range is only 95 to 125 miles (better then a firestorm but..) Above 100 at steady speed the windblast is hard work. However you dont notice it when going along a roads between 80 & 120. The acceleration, Handling & Braking are excellent. It sounds good (yet doesn´t seem to annoy the neighbours!) I think it is a fun bike for experienced riders who enjoyed razor sharp two strokes & want to work for their fun rather than a cruiser like a fazer!! |
