Pete, During the the initial running in period I was getting 35 miles per gallon and am now getting approximately 42 miles per gallon. This would equate roughly to 14 kilometers per liter and 17 kilometers per liter respectively. I do not know what kind of traffic you would be encountering in Holland but most of my driving has been on relatively uncongested roads, thus, I would expect these figures to be less favorable in congested driving. Also, the owners manual of the Rocket III specifies a fuel octane rating of 89 or higher.(Using the RM/2 method). This fuel is, of course, more expensive than the regular fuel of 87 octane used here in the States. It is good to hear from someone in the Netherlands. My great grandparents were from Workum in Friesland. |
