This bike is truly the one of character in the liter realm. Since I have owned mine it has been dependable and fun, in fact a lot more fun than anyone can legally have. Although it is slightly heavier than other bikes in its engine class, it is still an engineers wet dream made real. The first day I got it, I was kind-of afraid to drop the hammer; but the power delivery is so smooth throughout the range of the engine, it is uncanny! In fact, the mechanical drag of the engine is so much that I usually use the brakes to complete my stops(watch your groin area). Since I am 24 yrs old, I had to so my shopping around for the cheapest insurance, that offered the most coverage and by coincidence I found State Farm, who calibrates coverage only on age and cc size---not style of bike. I am paying something like $1400 a year for full coverage, uninsured motorist, PPIR, etc... Anyway, back to the bike---It is definitely an exotic animal to constantly be tamed; At 5,000 RPMs or so, it will take off as if the engine has leaned the intake mixture WITH NO THROTTLE MOVEMENT, so watch yourself out there... And god bless the british, the ergonomics on it are wonderful as long as you keep it under a 100 mph. Unless you are a regular at the track, you will not fully appreciate this machine. I do recommend that anyone purchasing this bike should also buy wheel stands(special from triumph), as this greatly helps upkeep, and it does not come from the floor with a rear wheel skirt. Anyone that considers this their daily rider, it is a must to keep water and dirt off of you battery box, eng., and rear suspension. The only bad thing I have noticed is sometimes the gearbox seems a little clunky and tempermental. Under normal driving this will not be noticed. Definitely set your suspension as this is different for everyone, and make take a while for people who don´t know how. Taking on a passenger usually won´t require any changes, but beware if you want to get down and dirty.
