I happened upon my beautiful, black 1995 Daytona 1200 a few years ago, and I was blown away from the first ride I took on it. The motor and everything is bone stock, but I have modified the clip-ons and added a Corbin seat for touring comfort. The bike is as strong as anything I´ve ever ridden - and that´s saying something. I am a professional through the week, and work Saturdays at Triumph of Indianapolis. I have ridden every bike in Triumph´s line-up except the Tiger, as well as a good sampling of nearly every other make sold in the US. In my opinion the 1995-97 Daytona 1200 is the best all-around street bike ever sold in this country. It is absolutely bullet proof mechanically, reliable, predictable and drop-dead gorgeous. It attracts a crowd everywhere it goes, gets thumbs-up from truckers and everyone who takes it for a spin comes back and always says "WOW!" when they climb out of the saddle. I could trade this bike at a great price for any brand new Triumph I want and get the factory´s employee discount to boot, but that won´t happen until I find something that can approach the quality of this machine.
