Hey congrads on getting 1200 I live inthe falat lands of northern Illinois and us my bike for sprot touring and she woeks very well at that. Wtih 1200cc´s the torque to boot I do have a lot of fun and generally pass anything without have it dowwn shift to.
Soory I can not help you withe the K & N filters, I still us the stock one´s with a yearly cleaning...
