I am so sorry for your loss. Unless the motorcycle was poorly maintained (ie. tires, fork seals, brakes) or had prior crash damage that was not properly repaired these are very well engineered bikes. Never a recall during it´s production run as far as I remember. They are in fact overbuilt compared to many japanese sportbikes. Daytona 1200´s are big, heavy & powerful. They handle very well but are best suited for experienced riders. Unfortunately, pilot error is often at fault even among us older riders. We all need to remind ourselves to ride within our skill limits. God Bless and to all out there ride safe whatever you ride!
