I am saddened by your loss. God be with you. The forks on the Daytonas are as good as or better than most in the industry.I have never heard or read about any failures or defects in any of the Triumph models of that era, many of which shared the same forks. Forks occasionally leak fluid out of their seals and then require removal and replacement of the seal by a qualified Mechanic. These are considered a wear item and it is one of the things an owner must look for when checking over their bike. Usually the leaking fluid is more messy than anything but can get on the tires and anything slick on your rubber is not good. If you would like to describe the forks condition that promps your suspition, I may be able to answer any further questions you might have. Hope this helps. Jeff |
