I bought a 1991 Daytona,Assam Black a few years ago.
had problem with fuel leak from airbox, drive side.
Turned out the O rings on No2 carb float had deterorated and had allowed the float to move, causing incorrect fuel level in float chamber.
mechanic at Windy corner changed all float O rings and seals,as well as a swelled diaphragm on No2 carb.Set carbs up static.
After we changed airbox, new oil and filter, and new plugs, winter spec spark plugs were already put in.We put in normal grade plugs
back in.Rode bike back to Windy Corner and mechanic set carbs up when bike was then running in their workshop.
he set carbs up perfect, rode bike back home and it felt superb, like a new bike.
Well done Windy Corner and mechanic, well pleased.
