Have 5000kms on my new bonneville since February 1st. No warranty problems. Slight clutch chatter till after first 1000kms, then it fixed itself. Great handler, will frighten some inexperienced sport bike owners in a duel in the twisties. Totally competent low speed manouvrer that makes the rider look in total control. Do buy the optional off road pipes..... the sound is a sensation and acceleration improves markedly to a 12.8 second 1/4 mile. It will then bite away at the 7,400 cutout in top gear at 185 kph (115mph)effortlessly and feels potentially capable of 200kph (125mph) at 8000 rpm with rev limiter disabled. Plenty fast enough for an unfaired bike and easily matches your old HondaFour in performance, but runs away in the handling stakes. That´s the point.... for older guys who rode in the early 70´s, this bike won´t scare you in the performance area but you´ll find yourself wondering why 70´s bikes didn´t feel so secure. Loads of fun. |
