| Hi everyone, first post here. Am looking at getting off my 2003 Daytona 955i & onto an ´07 America & planning a long touring ride with the wife and others later in the year...until I was advised that the max weight of the America should not exceed 390kgs. With the bike (dry) weighing 225.4 that leaves only 164.6kg. for fuel, oil,me,the wife & luggage...hardly a touring bike? And if those figures are right it totally rules the bike out for us. Can someone please confirm these figures? I was told that the max. load of 390kgs. is in the owners manual, but I don´t know if that is for an ´07 or if there is a difference between different years models. Thanks in anticipation, Steve |
