Thunder engine to much heat

My Suzuki thunder overheat much and when I´m not getting much power and even it starts losing power and hard starting after it looses power. I need to stop and rest cool down then it will start again. Once got hot again no power and stops as soon as it get cool ... Any resolution to this?
