05 Zuma automatic choke

Have an 05 that seems to be cold blooded or else the automatic choke is not working.In 70 degree weather it will start but needs about five minutes of idleing time, if you try to excellerate before 5 minutes it kills the engine. Is this normal? Any adjustment on the carb?
