I´ve just swapped out my R6 for the new R1, If you really want to compare them, then take them out on a test ride. I´m 6´2 and found the blade has been made a lot smaller and found it about the same size as the R6, hence one of the reasons I´m going for the R1 - thay have raised the bars slightly and the ride is a lot better for me than the blade. Hope this helps...
