I was riding for 3 weeks that way when i was searching for a new one.
The powervalve reduce the hole of the exhoust between 0 ant 3000rpm, once you are past that the valve is almost completely open.
But to start riding you need more gas, you have more noise from the exhoust, but most of all the bike accelerate slow ´especially between 1500 and 2500rpm.
Also in the city the bike uses more gas becouse the fuel goes not down in the cylinder, but direct from the intake to the exhoust, sometimes with explosions in the exhoust.
That is coused by the angle of the valves, combined with the long overlap time (means the valve to the exhoust is a long time open, while at the same time the intake is open too.
You need that powervalve.
