| Hi I have just purchased a 1000 ace and i would like to know what would be a fair price to pay for a 1998 mod with 14880km on the clock? for the most part the bike is standard except for the can.could someone also tell me what belongs under the seat(closest to the tank)which is held by a small rubber strap?there is a toolkit held by a rubber strap under the rear seat close to the tail but the one clossest to the tank has nothing under the strap. i just returned from a 700km ride(my first on this machine)and overall i am happy with the ace except that it blows a small ammount of grey/black smoke if i hold the rpm at 3500 for 10 sec and then suddenly rev to arround 7500rpm , it does not do this if i have been ridding above 120km/h for a while,it only seems to do it if i have been ridding slowly in town or if she stands overnight,any ideas why this would happen? thanks for your time |
