Hi,Ive just bought a 2000 reg Ace with 34,000 miles. Twice the bike got really hot in traffic and then %!ยค out coolant.(fans and temp guage work fine). After doing some online research,it seems that some Thunderaces do this as the fans only start at temperatures above 105 degrees. The suggested solution was to change the radiator fan temperature switch for a 1990 honda civic unit which is a streight swap and easy to do-with good results..... The turn on temp is now 92 degrees rather than the 105 degrees and turns off at 87 so the bike is a lot cooler in traffic and no more loosing coolant. Hope this helps anyone that may have had the same problem as me. Cheers |
