Owned one in New Zealand and travelled around 32,000 kilometres. Considering the local terrain of poor road surfaces, black ice in the winter combined with unfenced farm stock alowed to roam the rural area´s, I would say without a doubt it was one of the best handling bikes I have ridden. There were three problems I came across; (1) Between 190 & 200 kilometres per hour she was a little twitchy in the steering department. Something you can live with and readily fixed by slowing down or fitting a steering damper. - (2) Water coolant pipes are a push fit only on "O-rings" in the crackcase end and would constantly vibrate out therefore loosing coolant risking engine seizure. Solution was to fit oversize "O-rings" and make small bracket to hold pipes in. - (3) Carby pumps, man I could never get the flat spot out of her with the originals no matter what I tried. Solution , I discovered that the Japs made the same bike for their own market in a 400cc version, hence slightly different carbs. With a lot less fooling around than what the originals had caused me I managed to get them running good. Up the main one size to give top end volume and had to make collars to reduce manifold diametre. One very sweet midrange bike.
