Check out the ignition coils of the rear cilinders Steve. They are mounted just behind the engine and very exposed to water when riding in the wet. Because of that the 12v feeds lose contact and the coils fail now and then. Just take the feeds out and clean them with a good contact cleaner. Should be a quick fix, good luck!
