Learner Legal??

Hi everyone,
I´ve a problem. I just got a letter from my insurance group saying that my licence doesn´t cover me on the Yamaha XVS Dragstar 650 Classic. I´ve got a learner licence but I bought the bike under the assumption that it was learner legal. Everywhere i look the Dragstar 650 is advertised as learner legal. Are they all wrong or is my insurance group wrong?
