I have -82 920 model 10L,its a custom version and its shaftdriven. I had earlier xv 750 se,also from -82. Bikes are quite similiar, except the engine size and more gizmoz in 920.Both bikes also share the same starter problem, starter gear jumps of quite easily, but they always do start. My model has an liquid crystal instrument con- sole, used only in -82 models, some say that its not very abiting and thats why -83 and on models have normal meters. These yamaha 920cc models are quite rare here in Northern-Europe,mine is also imported from US. Except the starter, its a really good bike. Lots of torque, long lasting engine, reliability and the great sound of big v-twin.
