How do I find out how old my XV920 is

How do I find out how old my XV920 is

I have just purchased an XV 920 in the UK. It has been imported from Colorado I beleive.
I need to register it as an Imported bike but I need to get an official date the bike was first registered in America.
I obviously have a chassis number.
Please Help?
