These bikes have interlock safeties. If the kick stand is down and you put it in gear the motor will stop. Also is the shifter neutral detect wire has come loose or the switch is bad it will not start. you can rewire the connections to bypass these for testing. Also some times the starter solenoid may not energize correctly. Short across the terminals with a screw driver to see if the starter/motor will turnover. If it does then you´ve got go thru the got spark and getting fuel routine.
