Yamaha wildstar 1600 oil change problem

hi, i have a problem when changing the oil for the bike. when i added more oil to the bike because it was´t quiet enough. than i started it for a while. and then when i open the cap to check the oil again, it started pouring out/overflowing and it was frothy? does anyone know what´s wrong with it?
