I just purchased a 1998 Virago 100 Special myself (June, 2003) and look forward to being back in the saddle and on the road again. All I can say right now, after riding it home from the shop, is that it sounds great and rides really nice. My previous bike was a 1983 920 Virago, which I enjoyed immensely. More later when I´ve had some time in the saddle...
