Yes, they did make an 1100 in 87. It was the 20th anniversary of the virago so they called it the gold edition. It has gold chrome around serveral parts like the blinkers, engine case, ect.. I have owned this bike for 13 years and don´t see any reason to sell it or to get another street bike.
