| hi dan,don´t know if the xt is going to be sold in the states,in europe supermoto type bikes are really popular,thay´re made for our type of road´s i.e short narrow streets,i guess that in the states the type of road´s you have(massive long wide road networks)really wouldn´t do the bike justice,having said that if you live in the city there is no better bike for getting from A to B. this bike is really cheap to run,servicing is only every 6000 miles and being feul injected mean´s all you have to do is put feul and oil in for a happy life.feul consumption is amazing, you´ll get at least 50 miles to the gallon(british gallon=4.5 litres) about the only downside is tyre wear,my rear tyre is shot after only 1800 miles. if you havn´t already been there go to www.xt660.com this is a great site/forum with really good info about the xt,someone might even have info about sales in the states or about the possibility of getting one imported.JMC and CAPT´N MOTO are the site moderators and you´ll be welcomed even if you havn´t got a xt660. hope this help´s in some way,so get yourself over to www.xt660.com and i´ll see ya there. littleman |
