I´m installing a cylinder head & cam from an ´83 XT550 onto my ´82 model XT. I believe they´re same machine with the exception of maybe paint scheme. My question is How do I set the cam in the correct position for proper valve timing? I know to rotate the piston to TDC, but then is there a mark on the cam sprocket that needs to be in a certain position?...& if so, what is that position? Also, does anyone have the torque specs for the head bolts?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
