just bought a yamaha xt 500 ´95 model, only 2 discover the next day that the battery is only getting charged at 10v... (instead of 13)- a new alternator is what came 2 mind straight away, but the mechanic i wanted 2 buy one off of suggested there may be other problems, and that i should bring the bike around... with my newly won suspicion of dealers etc... i´d like to know what´s going on, instead of waiting 4 his suggestion, but can´t find the manual anywhere on line, (only goes till ´83) - anybody have some advice? where 2 find the manual, or if anything besides the alternator could be the problem?
