I found this old bike in someones back yard, it ran and i paid $300 for it.
No mechanics round here will work on a bike this old. found one guy that adjusted the timing and valves and reccomended I replace (not rebuild) the carb. Yamaha wants $500 for a replacement.
The carb specs (From the shop manual) say this:
It´s a mikuni-type vm28ss, no throat measurement specs.
