| 2015 Yamaha XT250 is blowing the ignition fuse as soon as the bike is turned on. The battery was nearly dead and needed to be jumped to get started. I rode about thirty feet and it died - as if it was turned off and just lugged to a stop. Tried jumping it again and it did nothing. So I replaced the battery with a fully charged one. When turning the key on, it doesn´t make any of its normal start up sounds, the dash doesn´t come to life, the horn doesn´t work, and of course it doesn´t start. However, the running lights (front and back) work, including turn signals and brake light. Did some checking on the fuses to find that the ignition fuse was blown but all other fuses were fine, including the 30a fuses by the starter relay. I replaced the 10a ignition fuse and tried again, only to have the fuse blow again instantaneously when turning it on. Any idea where the problem could be? Also, are there more fuses other than the two packs next to the battery and the ones next to the starter relay? |
