I need electrical help!

Hi my names Cristina, I recently bought a 1980 yahmaha xt 250. I love the bike and just got my liscence but I can´t ride it until I get all the electrial straightened out. My dad said I have to fix the brakes light before I can even take it on the road so I was wondering if anyone had a colorcoated wiring diagram that shows where all the wires get hooked up. It came with no headlight so I don´t know where all the wires in it go they are just in a big bundle right now. The turn signals turn on but don´t blink and the tail light is on but there are no brake lights. Me and my dad tried to hook up the headlight but its very dim and I think we did it wrong. Overall, we need a lot of help!
